Introduction
As you and your partner progress through this project, make detailed drawings of what you see. Refer to the rubric to see which organs are required for a perfect score. Please make them large and label them clearly. Include adjacent organs to orient your drawings. Don't worry, you will earn points for accuracy not artistic talent.
In addition to this first phase,
you are responsible for two additional phases. Please always refer back to the rubric. If you don’t have the paper copy in
front of you, go ahead and print out a copy of it now?
Be careful in Phase I not to mutilate your pig because there are additional organs that you may need to use during Phase II and Phase III. If you are concerned about what those are you can refer forward to those now.
Some notes
Use gloves, goggles and aprons at all times. Be very careful with dissection tools. When it comes time to clean up, please be thorough and follow directions.
A note on dissection in general. Please respect your pigs. Learn as much as you can from them. Make their sacrifice as beneficial as possible.
