Organ System Specialization and Presentation

After completing your general dissection and assessment you will select a new organ system (OS) to study, and you will present it to your class. You must prepare your pig in such a way as to best illustrate your OS to the class. You may use a video camera in your presentation.

Follow these steps.

• Choose an approved OS (check with your teacher)
• Plan approach
• Perform dissection
• Finalize dissection with your teacher
• Present OS to class (teacher will provide details when needed)

• Digestive System
• Respiratory System
• Circulatory System
• Male Reproductive System
• Female Reproductive System
• Excretory System
• Brain and Senses of the Head
• Brain and Spinal Column
• A complex joint (muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones)
